Senator Norman Grant, President of the Jamaica Agricultural Society said , “I am delighted to officially open this Farmers Internet Café as one of the 13 JAS Farmers internet Café to be established by the JAS . It is importance that we do this today at the 119th Annual General Meeting of the Jamaica Agricultural Society at the Denbigh Show Ground May Pen Clarendon on July 9, 2014. This is a three computers Farmers Internet café that will be available for use by the farmers in Clarendon and the staff of the JAS. The computers are from the 270 computers donated by the Korean Government though valuing $13.50 million”.
Three computers were handed to the President of the Parish Associations of each JAS chapter, 50 to the Jamaica 4 H Clubs and 5 to the All Island Banana Growers Association. Other distributions to other farming groups, schools and churches.
